One word... Monday

Happy Monday everyone. I hope everything is going good. Out here in Illinois the weather is just crappy. Grey skies, fog, and mush. Depressing weather puts me in a depressing mood, you know? Has anyone ever had that feeling before?

I wish I had a lot to say today but I don't. All I can say is how "Debbie downer" this Monday is. I really do hate Mondays. Getting up in the morning was like walking through quick sand, then I have to sit through hour-long classes all day. Woo, am I beat. Let's hope that all of your Monday's are going better then mine.

Anyways, today I was looking to see if I won a book giveaway contest on blooger (I didn't) and I came across an idea. What do you think of the idea of me having a book giveaway contest? It wouldn't be anything to bad, just pulling a name out of a hat. Tell me what you all think.

I am still reading The Knife of Never Letting Go and let me assure you, it is a GREAT book. I recommend looking it up and reading it. I only have 100 pages left. :)

Did anyone catch the Oscars last night? I am more of a Golden Globe Awards kind of guy, but I still watched it. I was so giddy that The Hurt Locker won. Don't get me wrong, Avatar was an AWESOME movie, but I really enjoyed The Hurt Locker. I also was really happy when Sandra Bullock won for the Blind Side. That was also a very good, heart-breaking movie.

Well, back to my book that I am writing. Maybe that will lift my spirits. I really hope so. Have a great Monday everyone!

Check this out!

The day is winding down, and as it is I found a great blog. It is called Teens Read and Write. This site has the best reviews for movies and books. Plus, they do awesome book giveaways! The blog is very proffesional and the admin is very nice.

I suggest that everyone goes to this site and becomes a follower. Reading the posts can make anyone in a great mood.

Well that is all that I am saying today. I am going to go watch Good Hair, and after that read some more. Happy Saturday!

A day full of writing and reading...woot!

It just FEELS like the perfect day. It is finally the weekend, and not a wintry weekend either. 41 Degrees here! This is so much different from the 10 degrees weather that the Chicago suburbs have been dealing with. The drastic change makes it feel like summer! Woo... I need to stop getting ahead of myself. Only a couple of days ago it was the first day of spring. We're not even close to the beaches, sunscreen, and swimming. But being halfway there isn't half bad... right?

What else makes this the perfect weekend, you ask? Well I am reading an amazing book. It has been awhile since I have stumbled upon one of those. The last truly good book I read was the Maze Runner, and before that was The Hunger Games. Now, I am reading The Knife of Never Letting Go, By: Patrick Ness. I am only on page 150, but it is already full of twists and turns. It is the first book in the series. I suggest you check it out.

WOOT! I am finally picking up that pencil again. I haven't been writing as much as I usually do. It just feels weird. It feels like a part of me is just sleeping, trying to claw its way out. Well I am letting it out and writing. I am working on my first book right now. I have outlined how I want it to go, how the characters are going to be, and other twists that will be throughout the book. All I can say is that it is a young adult Fiction.

I think that is all. But come on, doesn't that just equal a perfect day? I hope all of you have a great Saturday and weekend.

Hello blogger, it is nice to finely meet you. I have tossed around the idea in my head on if I should meet you. As you can see, I have decided it is time.

I am new to this site, and still in the works of creating a blog that meets my standards. So I do not have any followers yet. When I do have some followers, this goes out to you-hi.

I want to talk. I have people to talk to. I have family to talk to. But, I want to talk to the world. I want to share my day, my thoughts, my passions, and hates. This is where I want it to happen. Some days I might write once, some I might not even write at all, and some I might write a couple of times that day; that is of course if I am in a good mood. :)

It was nice to get acquainted. I hope to write many posts in the future, have some followers, and have a great time doing all of this.

Jake.
